New Dimensions Soccer relies on a generous volunteer pool to carry out our mission. Volunteers form meaningful relationships with participants and staff, and have fun while they do it!
Our greatest need? Coaches in after school and league settings. You'll work directly with kids who are excited to learn the basics of soccer. Beyond soccer, you will teach them to learn, to grow, to become all they can be.
You're qualified. You're ready. Now...please download your Missouri Background Check form, fill it out and let us hear from you.
At the New Dimensions Facility, we need:
Adult volunteer to mow the New Dimensions field on Thursdays beginning in mid-April. Lawnmower provided on-site.
Other volunteers (middle-school-aged or older) for general cleanup, fence painting, goal repair, organizing shed, emptying trash cans, etc. These volunteer opportunities will be scheduled on an as-needed basis.
On Saturday mornings from April to August, 10am to 11:30 at the New Dimensions Field, we need:
Adult volunteer to keep names, phone numbers, and email addresses of participants in Saturday practices--and communicate changes (e.g., rainouts) to them. You'll also help spread the word about Saturday practice sessions to potential participants.
Practice Coaches and Helpers
Adult volunteers to help coach at Saturday morning practices, and volunteers high-school-aged or older to assist with practices. Some coaching experience is helpful.
Watermelon League, at two locations:
New Dimensions Facility and St. Luke's Field
League games are on Sunday afternoons/evenings in June & July (except Father’s Day and 4th of July weekend). This friendly 4v4 league is for kids from K-8. There are multiple volunteer positions. You'll need to arrange your own transportation to and from the fields.
Volunteers middle-school-aged and older set up goals and prepare the facility for play. Setup begins at 3:15pm for the 4:00 start time.
Volunteers high-school-aged and older staff the concession stand at the New Dimensions facility. The stand opens at 3:45pm and closes about 10:00. Shifts may be split. At least two people are needed at all times.
Watermelon-Slice Purchase, Preparation & Distribution
Volunteers middle-school-aged and older distribute watermelon slices to players after each game. Adults are needed to purchase and cut up the watermelon. League play begins at 4:00pm and ends about 10:00. Shifts may be split.
Volunteers aged 16 and older are field marshals for 4v4 games. They should not referee games, but observe to make sure that Watermelon League rules (fair play, no coaching from sidelines, etc.) are followed. Field marshals report any concerns to the supervisor on-site. Games begin at 4:00pm and end about 10:00.
Volunteers middle-school-aged and older help take down the goals and clean up the fields after Watermelon League games end about 10pm.
