The Need

Our flagship program takes place at Mason Elementary School, which serves 400 students from Pre-K to 6th Grade. More than 40% of Mason’s families are immigrants or refugees. The students are from many countries: Afghanistan, China, Congo, Iraq, Kenya, Kurdistan, Mexico, Myanmar, Nepal, Sudan, Somalia, Tanzania, and more. Most of them have few opportunities to participate in extracurricular activities.

Our Program

After school programs take place Monday-Thursday. Students in grades 3-6 play soccer and engage in other enrichment activities that teach important skills such as decision making, and mental and emotional self-management. This program is at the heart of our mission!
